| Job Description: | Compass Government Solutions LLC is seeking an experienced full-time Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist to provide mobile unit services at the Department of Veterans Affairs Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHS), Austin Outpatient Clinic located at 7901 Metropolis Drive, Austin, TX 78744. In preparation to bid on this contract, we are seeking qualified candidates willing to be included in our proposal as interested and skilled individuals.
Hours of Service: 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday. The MRI Tech shall be on site to perform exams eight (8) hours per day, Monday-Friday, between the hours of 7:30 am and 4:30 pm. |
| Job Requirements: | Requirement
• Review physicians' orders to confirm prescribed exams. • Operate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners. • Provide headphones or earplugs to patients to improve comfort and reduce unpleasant noise. • Position patients on cradle, attaching immobilization devices, if needed, to ensure appropriate placement for imaging. • Take brief medical histories from patients. • Inspect images for quality, using magnetic resonance scanner equipment and a laser camera. • Review technical documents to plan work. |
| Qualifications: | QUALIFICATIONS
• Possess a current Radiologic Technologist (RT) license. • ARRT and MRI registry required. • Previous MRI experience required. • Strong clinical and patient skills are necessary. • Must be able to work independently and provide exceptional service to both VA patients and VA physicians and staff. Monday-Friday, no call, no evenings. • Candidates must be able to pass government vetting and security background checks. |
