Job Description: Compass Government Solutions is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist to provide services to optimize the Human Weapon System (OHWS) program at Eielson AFB, AK.

As a key member of the Optimizing the Human Weapon System (OHWS) program, the Physical Therapist plays a critical role in sustaining the health, readiness, and performance of U.S. Air Force fighter aircrew. Embedded within operational squadrons, the PT addresses flight-related musculoskeletal injuries—particularly neck and back pain caused by high-G environments—and develops individualized injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance optimization plans. By providing direct care, ergonomic education, and recovery strategies, the PT helps mitigate mission-impacting injuries, reduces downtime, and enhances aircrew longevity. This role is essential to ensuring that pilots remain physically capable of meeting the intense demands of aerial combat and mission execution.
Job Duties: • Conduct MSK Evaluations and Interventions.
• Design, Implement, and monitor individualized injury prevention and rehabilitation programs.
• Order Imaging, Labs, and Specialist consultations as needed.
• Documentation of work performed in approved electronic record systems.
• Educate Aircrew and leadership on injury prevention, ergonomics, and recovery strategies.
• Comply with all DHA, DoD, and MTF protocols.
• Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: • Doctor of Physical Therapy from CAPTE-accredited program.
• 5+ years' experience as a PT in Collegiate, Professional, Olympic, Tactical (military), Aerospace industry, or similar environment supporting man-machine high-performance. Experience must include recency within the last 2 years.
• Current healthcare provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification including Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

• At least one of the following:
• ABPTS OCS or SCS certification; or
• Orthopedic or Sports residency / Fellowship Trained; or Advanced Dry Needling Certification (Level 2) and Orthopedic Manual Therapy (OMT) Certification.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
